FedEx is committed to facilitating global connections while reducing environmental impact. The office premise for FedEx at Boomerang building, Chandivali, compliments the company’s philosophy by successful meeting with design requirements to meet LEED interior certification.

The project has been designed to cater to the requirements of a modern IT enabled office premises. Transven, as the Green Building Facilitator, assisted FedEX to incorporate many interior and engineering design related features contributing to sustainability and enabling the project to achieve Gold rating under LEED’s ‘Commercial Interiors’ category.

The highlights of the project are as follows:

• The project has diverted 100% of construction waste from landfills by reselling the waste generated to authorized resellers and scrap vendors.
• 22% of materials (by cost) used for construction purposes were manufactured regionally)
